Customer visit at Höganäs AB – collaboration in real production
Last week, Ferroman visited the production site of our customer Höganäs AB together with our partner I2R (I Squared R Elements) and representatives from Outokumpu.
The visit followed up on the installation of Starbar® silicon carbide heating elements – electrical heating elements designed for high-temperature industrial processes such as heat treatment and metallurgy. Delivered through Ferroman in cooperation with I2R, the system has now been in operation for more than a year.
In daily production, the elements have demonstrated stable and uniform heat distribution, combined with a straightforward, maintenance-friendly installation. Compared to traditional burner-based solutions, the system is easier to handle and allows individual elements to be replaced during operation, supporting predictable and stable production.
The visit provided an opportunity to share real operational experiences and performance insights, bringing together customer, supplier and technology partner perspectives in a joint discussion.
From real production to real results — collaboration in practice, and sustainability in action.
