This year, we proudly celebrate 30 years of partnership between Ferroman Engineering AB, Höganäs AB, and Nicro S.p.A. – three companies that together have built a foundation of technical excellence, trust, and innovation.

Since the early 1990s, this collaboration around furnace components has exemplified what long-term cooperation can achieve:

✅ Ferroman – an engineering and sourcing partner to the steel and process industry, supporting innovation through close collaboration
✅ Höganäs – the world’s leading producer of high-quality metal powders
✅ Nicro – a specialist manufacturer of welded high-temperature components

From the very beginning, the partnership has been driven by a shared ambition: to refine designs, optimize production methods, and introduce new technologies that enhance performance and quality.

Regular technical meetings, training sessions, and an open exchange of ideas have ensured continuous development and innovation across all three companies.

“For Ferroman, this partnership is an excellent example of how long-term cooperation drives real progress,” says Jonatan Odby at Ferroman.

“Over three decades, we’ve solved complex challenges together, improved processes, and strengthened quality throughout the value chain. Now, we look forward to deepening and expanding the collaboration even further.”

To mark this milestone, representatives from Ferroman, Höganäs, and Nicro gathered in Höganäs for a day of technical discussions, a tour of the facilities, and a reunion with the founders of the partnership – Mats Strömgren, Hartmut Bohlen, and Angelo Soliveri – whose early vision set the course for three decades of successful cooperation.

As Per Nilsson from Höganäs reflects:

“It was important for us to celebrate not only our shared history, but also the journey ahead. The same collaboration that started three decades ago continues to evolve – and we look forward to what we can achieve together in the years to come.”
